Forsyth acts quickly ....
Forsyth Business Centres has stepped in at short notice to acquire serviced offices from MLS Group PLC.
Forsyth has acquired the centre in Tunbridge Wells, which was due to be closed by MLS.
The acquisition, totalling 13,000 sq ft, allowed Forsyth to take-over the centre without causing unnecessary disruption to tenants, at the same time allowing Forsyth to maintain the offices to its own exacting standards.
David Harrop, finance director at Forsyth Business Centres, said: “We have pulled this deal together very quickly and are delighted to now be in a position to offer security to the existing tenants in this former MLS property and to offer Forsyth serviced office facilities to businesses in Tunbridge Wells.
“The deal follows Forsyth’s ethos of not only providing the best serviced office provision to tenants, but increasingly, a business management solutions facility, whereby we can step in to help landlords seeking to turn around problem properties.
“The MLS acquisition builds on Forsyth’s recent UK expansion into centres in Darlington, Hemel Hempstead, Datchet, Richmond and Walton on Thames.”
The new property adds to Forsyth’s broad portfolio of serviced offices which span the UK and emerging Asian markets.
Phil Clarke, Director of Radius Recruitment, one of the licensees at the Tunbridge Wells offices, said: “Forsyth stepping is so quickly has solved a major problem for the many companies here. Initially MLS indicated we would be able to stay here and then that situation changed quite quickly leaving the tenants here less than 10 days to relocate.
“Managing a relocation in under 10 days would have caused all the businesses here great distress so the fact that this has been resolved not only quickly by Forsyth, but seamlessly, is excellent Added to that, the management staff at the centre also will remain here so there are no centre staff losing their jobs either.”
Forsyth’s expansion capitalises on current economic conditions, which make it prohibitive for many companies to tie into long term leases. Companies are instead seeking out the flexibility of terms offered by serviced office providers, which provide simple, flexible property solutions, enabling businesses to focus on their own markets without excessive overheads.
Forsyth serviced offices provide businesses with a variety of facilities ranging from office accommodation, meeting rooms, reception services, telephony, mailing addresses and secretarial support.
Businesses using the facilities receive one all-inclusive monthly invoice, hence no hidden costs.
